Track Data ANNOUNCES "INTEGRATED NASDAQ LEVEL II" myTrack MEMBERS TO HAVE ACCESS TO NASDAQ LEVEL II THAT INCLUDES ORDER BOOK SUMMARY NEW YORK-May 22, 2000- Track Data Corporation (Nasdaq NMS: TRAC) today announced a new enhancement that will allow myTrack users to see an order book summary integrated into their Nasdaq Level II screens. This enhancement eliminates the need to check both Level II and order books to see outstanding limit orders. Standard Nasdaq Level II allows people to see the best bid or offer from each ECN and market maker. Unfortunately, Level II does not display bids and offers farther away from the market-only the best from each entity. This system can be somewhat misleading. For example, on a given stock, Island may have two limit orders-a bid for 100 shares at 4 and a bid for 20,000 shares at 3 15/16. An investor who looks on Nasdaq Level II to see what the support for the stock is would only see the 100 share bid. The investor would have to check Island's order book to know that there's much more support for the stock 1/16 of a point away. Track Data's new Integrated Nasdaq Level II alleviates this problem, as illustrated below: Standard Nasdaq Level II Market Maker/ECN bid Size bid Price ISLD 100 4 HRZG 400 3 7/8 myTrack's Integrated Nasdaq Level II Market Maker/ECN bid Size bid Price ISLD 100 4 ISL2 20,000 3 15/16 HRZG 400 3 7/8 Launched today, the myTrack Integrated Nasdaq Level II displays second and third best bids and asks from Island-straight from Island's book. Soon, the same will be true for Market XT and other ECNs that openly display their books. "We are always looking to innovate, to give myTrack members as much of an edge as we can," said Track Data's Chairman and CEO, Barry Hertz. "With Nasdaq's recent announcement of a planned 80% reduction in the fees for Level II for non-professionals, we expect an increase in the number of investors who look to access Level II. myTrack's Integrated Nasdaq Level II will become an important point of distinction."
