In general, I think this article is correct, PC sales are not what they should be here.

However, I don't buy the reasons they give. For me, the main reason for it, are shortages. Starting last Christmas season, we have seen nothing but shortages. First it was CD-RW, then CPU and MB, now it's DVD and high end Intel CPU. Not to speak about the problems with transitioning from socket to flip-chip.

This leads to a lot of logistic problems, but also to a lack of advertising and promotion. Nobody is starting an expensive campaign, when he is not sure he can deliver. This goes for a small fish like me, but also for the big ones.

The last months, it's improving, but this is traditionaly a slower season.

P.S. Before you start an aid campaign for me, I'm also selling electronic components and test equipment and things are going pretty well for me.
