Sonny ---Great post ---please forward that post to the following address : federalreserve.gov The best explanation of clearing the FUD out of what the FED is trying to say . Really agree about raising interest rates at one per cent at a time and giving it a chance instead of the gradualist increases which has a real possibility of putting us in a recession . The real reason the market is selling off is that the houses are using this a club to worry the retail investor out of the market so they can buy his stock on the cheap . As Peter Lynch has said numerous times the best returns since World war II has been in the equity market . Nothing has change for the long run except the Houses have raised a lot of cash and are not buying until they get the prices they want ( really starting to wonder if this is a free market or you and me are just going a long for the ride ----down and up ). The Justice department is a joke ---MSFT has never overcharge me ---I always felt I received fair value for their products . If they and INTC had not set the formats for the PC age we would have become such a hodgepodge the internet age would not have happen for another five years . Again a great post ---plus the double witching with low volume is really hurting us today BEST WISHES BILL
