GTMIE on the LIST has news.

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., May 19, 2000 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Global
TeleMedia International, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: GTMI) President, Jonathon
Bentley-Stevens, announced today that John Walsh the company's Chief Operating
Officer has returned from a three week tour of all the subsidiaries in the
Pacific Rim area.

During the visit, John met with the Presidents and heads of the major telecom
wireless and digital companies in several of those countries. The visit was
critical to the readiness of the subsidiaries to participate in the roll out of
the Smart-e-Card and MessagePilot(TM) products, as well as meetings with
auditors to ensure that the reporting methodology is standardized and the
present delay in consolidating and finalizing the audits would not occur again.

Mr. Stevens said, " now that John has returned we can move full speed in the
product roll out of our Smart-e-Card and MessagePilot(TM). John is an integral
player in both products and though his absence may have slowed down the release
of these products the delays are marginal. Johns visit to the subsidiaries was
critical to the conclusion of the auditing and think everyone understands how
important the timely filing is for the company and our shareholders. The Company
is now confident of filing the amended 10KSB/A within the prescribed time
frame."

John Walsh said, "it was a necessary visit to the subsidiaries considering how
we are accelerating the final systems for the roll out of the Smart-e-Card and
the advanced stage of development and early testing of the MessagePilot(TM)
Product. I visited with key telecom officials and engineers in each country and
all were excited at the prospect of further deploying our TeleCenters in those
countries. I also met with hotel and condominium builders and discussed VoIP and
MessagePilot(TM) services for those facilities. The reception was very
enthusiastic."

He continued: "I think most Americans do not appreciate the rapid acceleration
of telecom and wireless applications and messaging in the Pacific Rim Countries.
These countries have little old infrastructure to supercede, most are new
installations and meet no resistance to technological advances and indeed we
become exclusive suppliers of telecom and web based goods and services.

"I was very surprised at the reaction I received from the heads of the Major
telecoms who are our carrier partners, and how they welcome any technological
advances in message delivery, unified messaging and the possibility to have the
comprehensive e-commerce solutions available in one Smart-e-Card. I also visited
extensively with the Ericsson People who are finalizing the VoIP capability and
of our National Network in Australia, once fully deployed in every state we will
become the first fully national VoIP carrier in Australia and also we would be
able to carry VoIP trans-Pacific and this capability excites some of the large
multi-national Corporations that we have been visiting who see the combination
of MessagePilot(TM) and the Smart-e-Card as a tremendous savings in
international communications and e-transfer of funds to employees on location
and during travels.

"The acceptance of our e-commerce products will accelerate as soon as our first
customers come on line and see the results in communication and human resources
savings. I was also pleased to see our company achieve such recognition as we
did on the IR-On-Line trade show and as well as our own web sites we are
featured on www.otcbbstockwatch.com, www.informedinvestor.com and
www.e-relations.com. The much-anticipated release of our new products will
really be a coming of age for the company and our profitability should
significantly increase as soon as the products are available both nationally and
internationally."
