The CIEN toggle switch is "down" or "off" today. When is the rubber band going to wear down? Because the fundamentals are so good in this case, there is probably going to be some more wild oscillations. The CIEN board made a mistake by not splitting and announcing the split with the very good quarter results and the fantastic outlook. I think a lower stock price would encourage more long term minded individual investors. Everyone that has been in this stock knows that the toggle switch is either full "on" or full "off". It's still a good idea to split even now in my opinion.
