The current interest rate environment is not good for anything except summer travel in Europe, IMHO.

The reason MSFT is going down is because there are more sellers than buyers. Duh!!. Who is buying? only day traders like JH Jr. Who is selling? Mutual funds, market makers, and may even be company insiders who sell every quarter to diversify.
