Yep....Annapolis is actually one of the main boating towns on the East Coast, and has a large power boat show followed by a larger sail boat show in the fall. You would be amazed at how popular these things are. I have met people from Pittsburgh, which is about 250 miles away, who keep a boat over on the Eastern Shore! They can only get to it a few times a year, but they like the idea of owning it. I had a friend who bought a cabin cruiser on its last legs, and had to spend about a half an hour fiddling with the motor to take it out, who still kept it painted and in a marina. I know people with long cigarette boats, the sort that you use for high speed rides, that they will take out of the water and lug home, even though it is not at all as convenient as a conventional power boat. Some people go out of their heads for boats........
