Wayne, Is Cold Exacta related to Stone Cold Steve Austin or Funky Cold Medina? <g>

Unfortunately for the sport, they haven't bred many horseplayers in this new generation. I've been owning and playing the horses for almost 60 years and love the game as much today as I did as a teenager.

At the moment, it's about 1:30 peyem and I live about 30 miles from Old Hilltop and the rain stopped a few hours ago. I think they may have a drying track for the race. But in my view it's Pegasus on any kind of an off-track. He's got the breeding.

While Pimlico is speed favoring, it might be sticky and the front runners likely will be tiring and the early speed won't help the stretch runners. Just out of meanness for Stronach, I hope Red Bullet is well out of the money. He's no good for racing; Stronach, that is.

Joe De Francis hasn't been much better for Maryland racing, but he's been jinxed two years running, what with the power blackout in '98 and the nut case who ran onto the track last year and took a poke at a horse.

Race isn't worth betting; I see Peg is 1-10 in the early betting. If he's out of the money, as once happened with alongshot I played across the board some years ago in the Ky Oaks when the odds-on favorite ran out of the money, I got 44-1 on the show end alone.

How about:

1. Fusiachi Pegasus

2. Captain Steve

3. Red Bullet

4.Snuck In.

Just to have a bet.

Hi Wayne,

Nice call on Red Bullet. Orseno thought his horse would do well. Saw the Bullet up close and in person in the Wood.

Was at Beautiful Belmont for a MS Benefit at Turf and Field.
Walked the entire track. Had forgotten just how beautiful Belmont can be.

Handicapping and watching a good race unfold, especially with other enthusiastic and knowledgeable players, can be a peak experience!

Happy Handicapping.
