HH, key dow jones excerpts

<<David O. Lewis, an analyst with Robinson-Humphrey, said his group issued research notes Friday morning predicting the company would be slightly short of expectations in the second quarter, earning 10 cents or 11 cents a share, and then swinging back in line in the third quarter.

Lewis said he expects Hooper Holmes to continue with 30%-plus earnings growth after the second quarter....

Lewis stressed that the slowed growth is only temporary, the result of abnormally strong fourth-quarter results and higher first-quarter results driven partially by a temporary insurance industry regulation phenomenon called "Triple X."

In its first quarter earnings announcement, Hooper Holmes attributed a one-time revenue infusion to Triple X, which it said seemed to have caused a rush to buy certain insurance policies before a rate increase or change in premium structure went into effect....

Jeffrey Peters, an analyst with Dain Rauscher Wessels, said Triple X refers to the effect of a regulatory change made in January that opened the possibility of raised life insurance reserves, which would cause higher premiums.

The threat of impending higher premiums boosted insurance policy sales, adding to revenue of Hooper Holmes, which performs medical exams and provides inspection reports and doctors' statements about applicants to the insurance companies.

Peters said he's comfortable with an 11 cent a share target for the second quarter and said the stock was being oversold Friday.

Calling Friday's movement an "overreaction by investors," Lewis said it has created a good buying opportunity for a company whose long-term financial prospects remain strong.>>

MCD. OK ascending triangle lovers. There is a good triangle shape going back to 4/18 with stiff resistance at 39 3/16. Today was a perfect doji just below the lower line of the triangle. What does that mean?
