OT OT Eugene, just to clarify, I don't (can't) watch CNBC. Someone posted that Tice made comments about the Q on CNBC today and asked about his record. Tice was the investor who panned Tyco Int'l.

Eugene-re: Q* "buy" rec...

Hi!

I was the one who asked about this "buy" rec. Ole and Steve were kind enough to supply info.

Let's welcome the positive word from this fund manager, be it Tice or Alger, shall we? Much needed now in the sea of red.

Good luck, Gene.

Well, I guess Alger "looked like a bear" to me<g> Guess I mis-heard the attribute, b/c I certainly stand corrected. Does ALGER get trotted out often as a talking head for the m/f industry?

I got the reco and reasons right, just the name wrong. My apologies to the thread.

On another note, I see you updated your SI portfolio this week. You have about 40 stocks listed there. How in the world do you keep up with so many? Some technique you'd like to share?

Have a nice weekend.
