I concur with Sam on this although CyberCorp/Penson's rules are a bit easier than any of the RT3 vendors who clear through Southwest. Still, if you plan on using margin and hold stocks overnight, you need to understand what you can and can't do. AND KEEP DETAILED RECORDS DAILY!!! When I was with RT3/Southwest, they had tons of problems that led to their giving you too much/too little credit. "But your daily report said..." is not an acceptable excuse. Penson tends to overcharge you on margin (even if you don't use margin, you may inadvertently get some margin charges) but if you call them on it they'll correct it. But its your responsibility to catch it.

Sam, Thanks for the warning about switching brokers. I've been happy with Datek (and have had unhappy accounts with Suretrade, Scottrade, and Etrade), but was looking for flash fills...always trying to squeeze that last "teenie" out of the stone...

Glad to know you will soon be joining the ranks of the 2-to-3-daytraders...<ggg>...
