Ramsey. Your comments on the deterioration of this thread are correct. I tend to agree with ERIC. G&K is able to stay in focus because there is consensus among regulars as to when and how to scold when someone tends to go off topic. This should work here too. There is a need for other types of discussions too and the "Buy Range" thread has become an unpleasant place for thoughtful people, so they are showing up here as homeless thoughtful people who have some good thoughts and ideas not related to the stated topic of the thread. If Diamond and his buy range thread were replaced with a new no-Diamond general thread, and others helped you with the leadership of this thread, this would be the best of both worlds. If all this seems impractical, or if it is tried and doesn't work, or if you want total controll, I suppose a moderated thread is the only option. JohnG
