<<The Justice Dept. has many reasons to rule against the merger>>

Would you mind to share with us those many reasons on JDSU and ETEK merger.

Thanks in advance,

I Ask again,

Please provide some facts to backup a bombshell of a statement.

You stated,
"Im hearing KK wants out before Justice Dept rules against merger with ETEK. Very suspicious"

You have also stated that you are long SDLI. I am wondering just what your intentions are?

Best Regards,
Drew

What you and the other bears don't understand is that my portfolio would have to lose 88% of its value in order for me to really "lose" any money since 2.5 years ago... LOL!

You guys just don't get it! Stocks go up on more days than they go down. Sure, things are tough right now. I have always said Barton Biggs, Tice, Fleck will be right for a short time, but how much have they lost in the form of both actual money and opportunity cost over the last several years!?

ROTFLMAO!

Best,

MileHigh

PS- Re poetic justice, you sound young and immature. You probably hated the star football player because you were not, or the successful businessperson because you are not, or the successful investor because you missed the greatest bull market in history.

It is a hard lesson to learn when growing up that, yes, there are more talented people than you but that's just life. People who never understand that concept are anti- social and unstable IMO....

Wish them the best because you too are better at something than others. Find out what that is and try and be happy...

People who believe in "poetic justice" and the like are not happy people IMO..

szabel,
While I agree with some of your position/statements (e.g., many current investors are not familiar with bear markets) something troubles me. Perhaps I am reading something into your words that is really not there, but I personally felt a tone of smugness in your words. If I am wrong, please correct me. If I am right, I think it is not appropriate. The purpose of posting here is to help each other learn and to have some fun.

Ciao,
David Todtman

<The Justice Dept has many reasons to rule against the merger. >

Really? Did you hear this from the same sources that told you KK is leaving prior to DOJ intervention?

Do you have any technical knowledge of communication components? You need to, in order to support that statement. In this business, there are 18 different ways to skin a cat and 18 different companies are trying each way. There are so many, I can't keep track of them all, and every time I turn around, there's 5 more.

Seems to me, SDLI is on a little acquisition binge of its own, and I doubt they see it in their best interests to have the DOJ regulating their industry. If you own SDLI, it is not in your interests to have DOJ intervention in the ETEK/JDSU merger.

Although SDLI is an excellent company, you shouldn't be investing in industries you obviously aren't familiar with.

You speak like one of those non-professional, blind investors, about to loose all their money; buy a mutual fund.

szabel, pray tell, please list off those reasons the DOJ will nix the merger of JDSU & ETEK. You must have the wrong merger, simply because JDSU is not a consumer product supply company, they are a manufacturing company much like CSCO, and CSCO has had no such problems with M/A. Funny they haven't even had a word said about their monopoly position in the infrastructure they supply, but I guess if you don't know what your talking about anything can be posted here as rumor. Sorry, I can't believe anyone would post without thinking someone would question motive and source.
