Dave-- I recommend you exercise extreme caution with short-dated options. If you anticipate a big short-term rise in a stock's price, it is almost invariably better to buy long-dated options with the intention of selling them soon after the short-term event. You will get almost as much leverage and lose much less if you are wrong on the magnitude of the move.
