It sure makes one wonder. I'm beginning to think that Clinton doesn't give a hoot about Gore winning the election and wouldn't mind trashing the economy for a few years, for the reason you mention plus make the Republicans look bad. Clinton's legacy (gawd that makes me ill) would be better served if he can poop in the opposition's nest, rather than helping Gore into office. This way he can point fingers and say "you guys screwed up the economy, because it was fine when I was in office." Then his wife can run for the Presidency in '04 to "make things better, again". I think I need another drink... arno
