The thread was destroyed by intellectuals. As usual. They fought thousands of battles of over important issues such as who could write the most words that no one else in the world ever heard of. The purpose of these encounters was to determine who was the smartest person on the thread. The winner was to be crowned King (or Queen) of the thread and would be allowed to rule the thread as he saw fit. Fortunately the intellectuals wound up destroying each other. It took them two years to learn that intellectuals can't socialize with each other without getting into a fight as to who is the smartest. Their weekly contests of who read the most books while sitting on the toilet and who had the largest vocabulary before the age of 6 months were the highlights of their lives. The only thing they ever agreed on was that anyone who liked Ronald Reagan was not an intellectual.

I heard the German Shepherd died from exhaustion.
They did have eight pups, though, who are happily carrying on the family tradition.

<<Jim, there have been some musings that she has been putting a German Shepherd through obedience training and has thus been too busy to post. >>

My wife did some obedience training, also the tougher field trialing. She was into agility trials with a dog from the Humane Society when she shattered her knee, doing horses did her knee, not the dog but still has put her on the sideline. Damn shame as she had a real winner.
