Thanks for the reply to my SanDisk post and plea.

Seagate, who once owned 25% of SanDisk stock is apparently raising cash to sweeten the takeover they announced a few months ago. They seem willing to exit at any cost. This has gravely skewed the "technical" characteristics of SanDisk on The Street. Seagates move will be a big plus for SanDisk in the long run, but a test of stamina for shareholders in the near term.

Seagate's divestiture yields great gains for SanDisk in the future by freeing them of a revenue sharing agreement penned in 1993 when Al Shugart was still at the helm of Seagate.
