Speaking of stealth marketing campaign, I got a call today from a friend in Brisbane who lives near Sunnybank. He went to check out the selling of Globalstar at the local mall.

The shop had nothing on display and he had to ask about Globalstar. They brought out from behind the counter an Ericy and a Telit phone which he couldn't try and people have to order since they don't hold them in stock.

They were not persuasive at all that he should buy the phone. They didn't seem very interested.

It sounded very much like a stealth marketing effort to me.

People claim that Vodafone is a top marketing company, but it isn't evident yet in relation to Globalstar.

You'd think it would not be too much trouble to put up a poster and a display stand and have a working phone so people could try it out. Given the slow sales, you'd think they might even contrive to have a couple in stock!

PS: Non-smoker. G! will be worth $100s of billions in 2010 and might be the most valuable company on earth. Well, it'll be a close call between G! and Q!

A guess on Chris Gent comments when he and Bernie do their Punch and Judy show = Discounts on minutes. Chris is backing a loser the way they are going and he isn't noted for backing losers. Therefore, he has to turn it into a winner. He has the means.
