Ray, this company is saying that 155 Mb/s rates are unattainable through microwave, which simply is untrue.

There is nothing new about 155 Mb/s infrared, btw, despite what this outfit says. I've already specked in a 155 system made by Silcom, about five years ago, for an inner-city college campus connection. The product was called "Sky Fiber," and it supported either 10/100 Ethernet as an uplink connection, or 155 ATM.

Oh, and I can tell that you haven't gone through the Next Path web site. They have a subsidiary called Sagebrush Technology, Inc. :

Sagebrush Technology, Inc. (Sagebrush) Sagebrush produces state of
the art motion control devices that are used in a myriad of applications
from surgical instruments to aerospace. The explosive need for higher
precision pointing and tracking systems, wireless communication,
medical/surgical devices and the rapidly expanding precision machine
market has created an ever growing market for Sagebrush products. For
example, Sagebrush technology is already being used in the cutting of
over half the computer chips made in America.
