Asensio & Company to Participate in First Live Internet Video Streaming of a Mt. McKinley Expedition

DENALI, Alaska, May 28, 2000 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- The following is being
issued by Asensio & Company, a member of the National Association of Securities
Dealers, CRD number 31742: Manuel P. Asensio, Chairman, President and Chief
Executive Officer of the New York based investment banking firm Asensio &
Company, Inc. will join the 8 member Mt. McKinley expedition team sponsored by
SpeedUs.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: SPDE). The team includes Shant S. Hovnanian the
Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of SpeedUs.com, Inc. and two
other SpeedUs.com employees. All of the team members except for Mr. Asensio are
Armenians who reside in Armenia, Russia and the United States. The expedition
plans to stream live video coverage of the climb on the Internet.

The SpeedUs.com team is led by the world's eldest mountaineer, sixty-one year
old Lev Sarkisov. On May 12, 1999, Mr. Sarkisov became the oldest person to
summit Mt. Everest at age 60 years and 161 days. Mr. Sarkisov broke Venezuelan
mountain climber Ramon Blanco's record who had summited Mt. Everest five years
earlier at age 60 years and 160 days.

The SpeedUs.com Mt. McKinley expedition is expected to leave the mountain's
south-side Base Camp to commence its climb this coming Memorial Day, Monday, May
29, 2000. The expedition plans to broadcast via satellite live video coverage of
the expedition on a daily basis. The broadcast will be streamed onto the
Internet and will be available for viewing live and from archives on
SpeedUs.com's Broadband Beta site. The site is specially designed to provide
high speed Internet users with broadband content. Both high speed and normal
speed Internet users will have access to the expedition's live broadcasts and
archived footage at speedus.com . The schedule and agenda for the
daily broadcast, which will depend on the weather and other conditions, will be
announced as early as possible. Visitors will be able to register to receive
e-mail notices in advance of the live broadcast.

Mr. Sarkisov, the team leader, holds the Russian mountaineering distinction of
"Snejini Bars" or "Snow Tiger." He has climbed the summit of Russia's 4 highest
peaks located in the former Soviet Union Republics of Tajikistan and Kirgizstan.
These peaks, Peak Communism, Peak Korjenerskaya, Peak Lenin and Peak Pobeda, are
all over 7 kilometers in altitude.

Mt. McKinley is the northern most high altitude mountain in the world. It is
located just 3 degrees, or approximately 300 kilometers, south of the Arctic
circle. T he SpeedUs expedition will use the West Buttress Route. The route is
15 miles long from the base camp to Mt. McKinley's summit and has an average
inclination of 10 degrees. The expedition is expected to make the ascent in 6
days.
