What I like about EMC and Cisco is the focus on infrastructure. Software's great, but in my 21+ years of working in the computer world, by far the most significant advances have been in hardware, not software. Software advances are only enabled after hardware advances have occurred. Cisco is at the cutting edge of ever-faster network/Internet communication, while EMC pushes the limits of data storage volume. More information (EMC) communicated ever-faster (thanks to Cisco) makes these companies the prerequisites to success by all software companies (e.g., SUNW). Kevin
