NEWS From: DRC Resources Corp. (DRC) drcresources.com mailto:invest@drcresources.com --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Re: News Release - Monday, May 29, 2000 AFTON DIAMOND DRILL PROGRAM =========================================================================== The 2000 Diamond Drill Program on the Afton Mine Property, 10 KM west of Kamloops, B.C. is successfully outlining Copper-Gold-Silver-Palladium within the main mineralized zone. Two NQ diamond drill holes have been drilled todate. DDH 2K-1 at -72 /315 intersected the mineralized zone for 237 ft at a downhole depth from 438-675 ft. in a brecciated fine grained rock, where it was suspended due to ground caving conditions in high grade Copper-Gold mineralization. DDH 2K-2 at -74 /329 completed at a depth of 1455 ft. intersected the mineralized zone for 769 ft. from 486-1255 ft. John Ball, exploration manager and geological consultant, is supervising a quality assurance program for the Afton Diamond Drill Project. The company consultant J.J. McDougall & Associates, P.Eng., is overseeing and advising on the Afton Diamond Drilling & Geological Fieldwork. All mineralized drill core intervals were logged, split in half, sampled at 10 foot intervals and shipped directly to Eco-Tech Laboratories Ltd. for Copper, Gold, Silver, and Palladium analysis. A check assay program has been implemented where selected core intervals are sent to Cominco Assay Laboratories and selected core samples of mineralized intervals are being analyzed petrographically to identify sulphides and host rock composition. Eco-Tech Laboratories are B.C. Certified Assayers who participate in the National Canmet Proficiency Testing, and maintain their own in house Quality Assurance and Quality Control Program. Eco-Tech Laboratories has been in the analytical testing business for 26 year, and are familiar with assaying the Afton Ore. Their client list include, Afton, Teck, Placer Dome, Newmont Mining, etc. The Company will release informtaion for the two diamond drill holes upon receiving and compiling the assays results. The diamond drill program is continuing with DDH 2K-3 to be drilled at -80 /329 azimuth to intersect the mineralized zone approximately 250 ft down dip from its intersection in DDH 2K-2.
