Robert,

Thanks a lot for the insight into yesterday's action at Pimlico.

It does look like there's a lot of speed in there.

Under most conditions I'd be looking to beat the speed. My interest in Hugh Hefner has little to do with his ability or the low probability that he will shake loose.

It has to do with his price relative to those probabilities.

At 70-1 from the rail, I think he guns for the lead and everyone knows that. I'm asking myself this question.

If I owned, trained, or rode Hal's Hope or High Yield would I use up my horse chasing a 70-1 shot with a lot of speed that is committed to the lead. Personally I wouldn't.

So I think they will either stalk him under wraps or remain a length or two off waiting for him to tire before moving.

That's bring up my next point.

I think he's better than he's being given credit for and may be improving. It not "impossible" that he runs away from the other speeds and hangs around for a piece. At 10-1 he'd be the first horse I'd throw out because he could finish LAST. But at 70-1 a small exacta could be fun.

I'd like to see how the track is playing today first because he's going to need some help. (mud or speed favoring) I can't find any other value. Everyone knows these horses at this point so the betting will probably be square.

Good Luck

Wayne
