Connor26: What this 96 year old Mr. Rosenfield says made a lot of sense when he wrote it. However, point (1) is troublesome; had you put a lot of money into the few things that looked not only good but "great" three months ago...you'd likely be wiped out today, or hurting mighty badly. Point (2) you can find investments you understand and hold on and not let the short-term "spook" you. I have trouble, with a few exceptions, understanding "investments"...which is why I'm a trader. Also, when a stock bought as an investment declines by 40-70%...it's extremely difficult to recover the loss. Again, that's why I'm a trader. As much as I think I know, I have great difficulty seeing three weeks ahead. Three months, three years...too much for me...I don't have a chance. But I thank you for the post. (Lee)
