So, did the clematis trellis get built or did you moon around thinking about your wife's armpits and other adorable portions of her anatomy? <GGG>

This issue of what is suitable is moot. As SI Bob has noted in public, there is a definite minimum level of decorum for the stock threads--despite some people's desperation to violate decorum. I appreciate having that level, since I find it irritating to be confronting some inane and obscene rant when I am trying to have a rational discourse about a stock.

OTOH, the Coffee Shop threads set their own tone, which should be respected by anyone who wishes to post on them. The political "hockey stick" threads get rough and dirty; anyone posting on them should read a modicum of the previous postings and get the tone to know that they are not always polite. "Feelies" can get a bit brutal, but the posters know about this aspect.

I started a thread last year in honor of Mayday, aka Beltane. It was blatantly a place for people to flirt and play sexual games--it's a mercy that SI Bob didn't bust everyone on the thread. However, the purpose of the thread was clear in the header and anyone who might be offended had ample notice and had no need to go further into the thread. It was for play among adults who understood that it was all in play. All of us had a wonderful time and still joke about it. I suppose that now one could have a moderated thread or otherwise censor, but I don't think that it would have have had the same rolicking laughter that it did.

As for armpits, ooh.... I have other suggestions. <GGG>
