Most people retired today, will probably received all of what they put in the system in less than 5 years. But social security is just the tip of the iceberg as it relates to transfer payments from one generation to the another.

This is the most coddled wealthiest generation of over 65 year olds our country has ever seen. Yet, they still feel they're deserved more of the life energy of the young to support them. The latest push is free prescription drugs. And let's not even bother to means test them.

The AARP's dream of future transfer payments is unedendingly long. The fear expressed by the elderly as it relates to privatizing social security is just a symptom of this disease.
