Thanks for your response - I didn't get the feeling that this was a replay of NETA (Cole seems to be honest, unlike Larson), but I want to be sure before I consider buying more shares. Rebuilding the sales force is key, hopefully they can retain their engineers during this transition period. From what you've said, LGTO's situation seems to be similar to ORCL's of a couple of years ago - lack of focus and execution, and sales games. I knew a lot more about ORCL and lost no sleep buying more shares after the 50% haircut.

It also sounds like LGTO needs to improve their technical support. I think Cole needs to bring in some managerial talent to help fix things. It is important to neutralize VRTS "selling machine" - history shows that a company like that can permanently crush its competitors if the situation persists for too long (Cisco).

I would think that storage management software would have a high degree of customer lock-in, much like a DBMS, so LGTO shouldn't be losing many existing customers. They now have to concentrate on winning new customers, which should not be difficult in their explosive market segment.

Thanks again for your input.
