SunSpot,
I hope you can get your driver issues worked out. I've also had some driver problems, and will hopefully get the last nailed down this week. I find Win2000 to be extremely fast and stable, but its driver support just can't compare to Win9x. I do hope that the team concentrates on that issue for the next release.
Thanks,
Mike

SunSpot - I have tried a number of graphics cards with Win2K including a Voodoo3 3000. Matrox and Voodoo seem well supported both in the standard release and through driver updates on their website. The Matrox "universal driver" supports pretty much the range of Matrox cards.

But I agree that the range of functionality is not as good on the Win2K drivers. I don't understand why neither the 3dfx or Matrox cards supports 1600 by 1200 under Win2K when they support it under NT4 - also there seems to be no way to get the monitors supported except for generic monitor support.

I have one Win98 machine which I use for imaging work - it has scanner, photo printer and 1394 support. The products available for that platform have great functionality... but of course it crashes about once a day if I use it a lot, which is why nothing critical is on that box.
