Ike, This is oversimplifying, but the basic difference is that Celera is an assembly line Model T while Incyte, HGSI, etc. are hand made Bentleys. Celera's techniques may prove to be the cheapest way to find effective drugs for simple complaints. INCY and HGSI provide more depth and will be used for more complex problems. In other words, when there is a genetic cure for athletes foot, I expect Celera's techniques will find it. But when there is a genetic cure for Parkinson's Disease, the discoverer is more likely to be Incyte or HGSI.
