Ish,
I think that helps confirm my comments about investing. IMO, one should approach investing with the intent of staying in for the long term, and not putting all his eggs in the highly speculative basket. Unless a person gets lucky, investing in speculative stocks is not a viable "get rich quick scheme". The tendency to shove more chips in the pot when the cards look good, is too great and too much of a risk. Over the years, my investments have been in off market properties, in locations that have shown potential, promising land parcels, and new small businesses that have marketable ideas. I even bought a hog farm one time. Messy but profitable. Careful investing has turned out very well for me. I sometimes shudder when I hear a highly speculative investor proclaim how much money he has just made, when all he has seen is a PC monitor screen. Until he cashes the check, he hasn't made anything. We used to call that "paper profits" which, many times, ended up in the "rotary" file.
