RocketMan, inflation-linked bonds with inflation-adjusted returns of around 4% are pretty good deals for the risk averse. But I am convinced that we face no long term inflation threat. There is simply too much industrial capacity almost everywhere I look, free global trade has diminished considerably labor's ability to demand wage increases higher than productivity increases, and many services are being transformed by the internet and inexpensive global communications.
