"Narrow the focus"-I totally agree-with things as volitile as they've been, its not enough to know that a company has a good product-we have to really know their stock price patterns. I'm trying to only trade what I know, even if they aren't the best opportunities out there, because I can time my enties and exits so much better. I gradually lose track of some and add others, but I don't trade an unfamiliar stock unless it has a great chart both long and short term. For those I use the watch lists, and can usually pick out one or two that have been consistant gainers long term, and don't get beat up too badly in corrections. Those couple I'm willing to buy with minimal research, but the rest I need to study carefully, do my own research, and only buy them if I've had time to do a thorough job. When I violate that rule, even with Jenna's great picks, I often get burned in a market like this. From October through March you could buy whatever stock was called, wait for your ten points and sell with a nice profit, but now I'm finding I have to really know what I trade.
