It finally happened. It was just a matter of time, obviously. But it doesn't make it any easier to deal with. I was at the market and the checkout person asked me if I qualified for the senior discount. That's if you are over 55. First time in my life somebody checked to see if I was over 55. I took off my sunglasses, smiled, and asked her how old she was. She said 21. That made me feel better. Then I asked her how old her dad was. She said 64. Made me feel better, because I probably look younger than her dad. But it still happened. These darn kids today, I don't know where we are headed.
