Team-based activities include high level logic architecture, VHDL based logic design and simulation, synthesis, static timing analysis and test structure verification. Project work includes storage protocols (IDE SCSI, FCAL-Fibre Channel Arbitrated Loop),communications protocols (SONET Fibre Channel, Ethernet, PCI-X, Infiniband), embedded processors and system-on-a-chip issues.Experience working with ASIC design systems or semi-custom design tools is a plus. Develop a comprehensive strategy including implementation plans for solutions in the high performance transport space. This includes all optical and electronic components that interface a fiber media into a switch fabric. Specific areas of focus will be Fiber Channel, Ethernet, Sonet, Infiniband, and Optical Networking. Serve as a key interface between sales, marketing, and engineering on developing product strategy and implementation plans over a 2 to 5 year period. Define product requirements, detailed marketing goals, forecasts, pricing plans, financials, and project plans. Develop complete customer and competitive landscape for all strategic programs. Be prepared to validate plans for new opportunities with customers leading to design wins at those accounts. Establish launch plans for new products providing key messages, product positioning, product roadmaps, necessary white papers, and press releases.
