Hey, Igor,

Welcome to the thread!

OK, I've watched it 2 or 3 times now, and I'm still not totally sold on the legitimacy of Jefferson's injury. Was he hurt? Ok, I'll go as far as to say, "probably." But I think he overplayed it, especially when he realized that Oleg can punch (must not have watched him knock Rahman out of the ring last November).

I had a fairly bad sports related (inflicted) knee injury a few years back, and I didn't get up and walk away (ala Norris) or do a just-comin'-out-of-the-bathroom-leg-shake (ala Jefferson). I was down and needed help getting up, period.

But, even if we disagree on that, igor, I agree that he throws too many meatballs and doesn't use his mellon enough. I'm not sure if I believe that he could beat Oleg Maskaev, but to be sure, with some more jabs and feeling out than actually occurred in the first round, it could have been much closer than it looked, veracity of the leg wound notwithstanding.
