Tero: Thanks for sharing your view on HDR.

Where HDR could help GSM stay viable is in current spectrum. Clearly the new spectrum with be CDMA - the only question is what the flavor mix will be.

But GSM has years of useful life left. The question is whether strengthening the data capability on that installed base beyond GPSR would be helpful. If so, HDR could do just that.

Where would the money for HDR come from? If its addition kept GSM going for a couple of extra years, since using current spectrum for the wireless data internet nexus is a major emerging market, the benefit to cost ratio is a slam dunk.
