Dave, Very happy for you. I grew up in KC, went to school in VA, and have lived in LA/SF for more than 10 years. I've been displaced from my home by tornado, hurricane and earthquake. I can only imagine a fire would be much more tolling emotionally. Glad to hear they made it through OK, and that they can still take fat divots in the fairway. A good sized earthquake has the double benefit of producing fire as well. Nothing like tens of thousands of burst gas lines to add to an already intolerable situation. Los Alamos will be fine. In a few years there will be lots of grass and flowers where the forest used to be, and they will never have to worry about forest fires again (all the forest is gone.) The big problem they have to face this summer will be floods. There is no vegetation to hold back runoff anymore, and they are anticipating 200X normal runoff this summer. Fortunately, most of the houses sit hundreds of feet above the floodplane. Scumbria
