As long as they can guess how big the dip is.

Buy on a 10% dip, at the beginning of what turns into a 60% dip, and you won't do well.

Expect a 60% dip, and the market goes to new highs after a 10% dip, and you'll be watching enviously from the sidelines.

Any traders that can't go with the daily or weekly trend deserve what they get. Traders that only know how to go long are like basketball players who can only dribble with their right hand. Sooner or later somebody is going to steal the ball or money or both. What I can't figure out is, WHY DO PEOPLE TRADE LIKE THAT. ARE THEY STUPID?
