Gary, Companies that have single digit growth shouldn't have P/E's in the 20's and 30's. GE's P/E is laughable and it's stock price should be cut in half. From what I've been reading and looking at the charts and historical comparisons I believe we should see 8500 on the Dow and 2000 on the NASDAQ. I believe real support on the NASDAQ is around 1500. I expect to see 2200-2500 and then bounce around that level for a year or so and let fundamentals catch up. I believe CSCO should be a $30 stock and at that level it would be worth the risk of investing and if reasonable goals are met it should yield a 12-18% return year over year. I still think their is a fair amount of risk even at the $30 level. I expect CSCO won't break $40 because so many have been convinced by analysts and are in love with the company. I daytrade companies like JNPR, FDRY, SCMR, CREE, TQNT, AETH, JDSU, RMBS, etc. I think that each of these companies are so overvalued right now it's not even worth my time to argue the case. I do buy them and short them depending on the trend of the day. They all move so well and bounce beautifully. I would never short these companies over night though. You never know when some jerk analyst is going to give one of these a $1000 target or they may become a take over target. Even LCOS got that crazy run and a take over price of $97...That is, by the way, a perfect example of the insanity of this market. You should know better than most how dumb this market is ....remember COMS and the PALM run up? If you get some time, go to ipolockup.com and look through the charts of the companies listed to come out of lockup for the month of May. Take a good look at the charts! I looked through the charts of every company listed for May and June then had a good laugh. You have to ask yourself what were the investors thinking? Who made the most money of the price run ups and then crashes of these companies. The big boys have made a killing in the last few years off this huge market wide pump and dump. They old boys club on Wall Street has done a great job of selling stock. The everyone but the truly rich will have to pay for the next 10 to 15 years as a result. (I hope the long term effects of this pump and dump only last that long) Bambs
