Gary.. The 'irregularity' is within the accounting profession, yes I agree.. The investment community has capitalized on these loopholes to make a corporation appear to be operating in the green, when measured against historical GAAP, they would be showing losses.. the options sales also give the company cash, allows them to invest in securities for capital gains to improve P&L's and relieves a high salary/bonus expense from being charged against earnings.. The practice is abhorable and is the obvious result of Wall Street paying off the Accounting Profession.. >><<
