Eric,

I think it is a fallacy to judge the people offering opinions, rather than the accuracy or validity of opinions in regards to a company.

Since Carl has stated that RDRAM wouldn't work in sockets, I'd say his credibility is pretty low. At least as an expert in memory systems. There was also his bizarre statements that one forecast of RDRAM market share for the future was more "correct" than another.

Eric: <<I am sorry to break this to you, but Carl is not an investment advisor or your inside connection to the memory industry. Having his qualifications (whether a janitor or a materials science professor) should have nil effect on your valuing of his statements....Do you trust a broker or an analyst because he or she has an MBA?>>

Qualifications? You've got to be kidding. Your response appears to be to a question which you appear to think I asked. Lets get real. Carl claims: "The buyers that have the full freedom of choice regarding memory purchases are the electronics engineers who design the memory systems themselves, and it is their perspective that I have brought to this thread."

I respond:
"Pretty heady stuff there. If you insist on making this claim, then please be so kind as to share with us your current job title and description, plus the revenues and general description of business (of your current employer)."

I simply want to know from whence he struts. Still no answer from the peanut gallery.

And BTW, brokers??? I don't need no stinking broker <grin>

Your friend Bubba.
