TechPlayer, Yes, I saw that article and thought to myself how badly they need a PR guy over there. What better way to further help a pending selloff -g-. Agreed about the bounce the N225 got and, in fact, I make it to be more like a 50% rise off the low from the fall of '98. Cheers --Allan

FWIW on Japan, I was at the H&Q conference a couple of weeks ago, and the buzz there among the so called "smart money", was that the Japanese were starting to get it together. One individual who had recently been there was beginning to put a fair amount of his own money into the country. It would certainly be interesting if this downdraft in Japan turned out to be a retest of some lows, I.e. 16000 (13000?), setting the stage for a new bull market there. Karl
