I think I just figured out this whole GE thing. With this 1gig clock speed, and massive scalability, these things are going to require the form factor of an actual REFRIGERATOR. --- That'll be cool though having an automatic ice maker/dispenser on the front and I'm sure engineers will waste no time in hooking the water dispenser up to a Jolt Cola source. --- It's all beginning to make sense. <g> -JCJ

Charles, >Maybe all it means is putting faster clocks on the boards and changing a few glue chips to higher speed versions.

I doubt that very much. It wouldn't make any sense to drop a much faster CPU chip, with undoubtedly a lot of new functionality, into a 3 or 4 year old board. It's for sure that there are new motherboards, and most likely also new memory and I/O boards involved.

This is getting exciting. As much as Scottie and Ed pooh-poohed the need for a refreshed server line right now, you can be sure they'll introduce it as the ninth wonder of the world, or something, when it does come out.
