Zeev,

But your logic suggests that if Intel wants something to happen then they can make it happen. At the time they were producing DRAMs they wanted to be the dominate player in DRAMs - which they weren't so they cut their losses and re-focused. Fine. Also kudos to them for recognizing it sooner rather then later. Nevertheless, they failed at DRAMs (since the definition of a non-failing company would be to have succeeded, which they didn't).

More recent failures are: their motherboard program, their box build program, their graphics program & their i820 strategy - which you have to admit has been a miserable failure (delay, delay, delay - then this MTH problem).

I admit that Intel executes very well (usually) but so far their execution on DRDRAM has been a failure. Perhaps they can turn it around - but I have my doubts - and I don't think that Intel can necessarily succeed just on their will alone. Remember, they are about 1 year behind schedule on DRDRAM so far.
