Hi Peter:

I believe that a year or so ago, you commented on
UWB/impulse radio systems for wireless LANs. What is
your current view of such systems?

For non-experts, UWB systems use very large BW
(about 1 or 2GHz) baseband pulses (using pulse
position modulation) with a < 1ns duration. These
pulses are so short that multipath signals can be
resolved.

I am curious to hear your views on data rates,
power consumption, and multiple antenna implementations
(??).
