So -- do we now have a new crowd of "say anything" sellers of QCOM over here (similar to over on the Globalstar thread) ?

Jon.

I have seen lots of concept stocks drop by 90%, even those that seemed to have a monopoly. QCOM has no monopoly. There are all sorts of companies getting into wireless communications--the Israeli company Tadiran, for example.

What once sold for $20 a share within the past year could easily do so again.

A bad market brings out the marginal posters, doesn't it?

I don't mean you, mm. I mean Tommasso, who sounds off without even a meager understanding of the possibility that sales might go down slightly while profits increase significantly. Or that the sale of the handset business was the reason. Or that its sale was a very well crafted strategy. Or that the deal resulted in a steady source of ASIC sales which, unlike cell phones, are high margin items.

Tommasso, if you are lurking, you would be well served if did a little background research before posting. Do you have a position in the Q?
