If anyone following an Internet strategy didn't know about risk before (most did), they do now, so you can stop talking about that one.

Tom - what are you saying - that we shouldn't discuss risk? Are you serious?

Now you're complaining that we have focused on the long term to the detriment of the short term.

Much of the rhetoric coming out of investment banks over the past two years has been all about long term returns - that profits must be sacrificed in the short term in order to establish positions of long term profitability. Most of such analysis has been based on a lot of speculation about the amount of profits that can be generated by these companies. And in my view, there has been little active discussion of such risks over the past two years.

I guess we can't do anything right!

You're words, not mine. And I'm not sure your motivation for this comment. Are you disturbed by my contrarian viewpoint? And when you say "we", who are you referring to exactly - I didn't realize there was anyone acting as a group here.

-Eric

Let's not be glib. Still a very worthy topic.

TK,

I diversified by buying BRKB! It is about the only thing in my portfolio still showing a YTD gain.
