<Edited> I spoke to a Director of Sales and a Director of Technical Sales at GTW today about design workstations; multitasking 2-D AutoCad. Just another Bubba looking to throw my employer's money away, in spite of the valiant attempt of others on this board to save me from myself.

They have NO problems with the i820, because they DO NOT and WILL NOT offer SDRAM in the 4400 series from hereon in.

They DO plan to offer ONLY RDRAM workstations by year end 2000.

They foresee NO chip supply problem.

They are paying a 15% premium on the memory.

The people I spoke to know NOTHING about DDR. No chipsets, no compatible mobo's, no future workstations, yada yada yada.

Of course, I must have misunderstood them. Or maybe I spoke to the wrong people. They must be Bubbas just like me.
