they study the filings...so they report on expected future insider selling rather than past selling. however, a flood of filings could hit the SEC today, tomorrow, and so on. i'm merely trying to judge the insiders' psychology...so you get to buy stock at 10 cents, say. it now trades at 50 bucks. it was at 200 in March. what are you going to do? wait for the mania to come back? or take what the market will bear...especially since you know that fair value is probably in the single digits. i don't buy this thing about insider selling abating...it doesn't compute.
