OT:
moderated threads that are dominated by tyrants are certainly a bad idea but they, being a closed system, do not have strong survival potential. look who's here - Chris, Donald, Dennis, Bobby Beara, Lee, Gersh (apologies to whoever I left out) great group! all creative, intelligent, open-minded and cordial. Dennis - good for you to speak your mind - you're one most of SI's most thoughtful posters.

Half *OT*

I think moderated is a good idea but only when guidelines get totally out of whack and warnings etc are given in advance. Banning for personal reasons is just dumb and the talent will drift away to the reasonable ones. I won't comment on the little war other than to say the only reason we originally moved off SI was to have moderation which SI finally saw the light. Trying to have market discussions only to be spammed by penny stock hypsters or bashing by perma bulls who couldn't tell the difference between short term or swing trading and buy and hold strategies just got to be too much. No one reads thread headers anymore and they only see the last 50 potsts or so before jumping to conclusions.

Dennis, sorry to have got you in trouble with Mom on MDA but like you said, we are not alone and at the rate it is going, half of SI will be banned in 6 months.

AS for the market, it appears I got home one hour too late. I was going to buy a bit here but they rallyed it in the time it took me to drive home. TRIN still over 1.30 shows plenty of selling still going on. A lot of weakness still but they are propping up the index for some reason with only the heavily weighted stocks moving up like SUNW ( 72-77+) Crisco still lagging a bit and most of the lightly weighted techs are floundering as I type.

I only have 20 minutes to make up my mind if I will buy into this or short it so I have to get off here and do some sniffing around. I was really hopng tomorrow would be a washout and then we could start accumulating near the close or later in the week.

Good Luck,

Lee
